WHERE IS CAPRICCIOLI BEACH

Capriccioli beach is located on the eastern coast of Sardinia, approximately 8 kilometres from Porto Cervo and 10 minutes by car from the Piazzetta. The beach sits between two of the Costa Smeralda most iconic landmarks, Hotel Romazzino to the north and Hotel Cala di Volpe to the south. It is easily accessible by car via the SP59 coastal road, with parking available nearby, though spaces fill quickly during July and August. The beach is divided into two main areas, Capriccioli West and Capriccioli East, each with its own character. The nearest airport is Olbia Costa Smeralda, approximately 30 minutes by car.

THE BEACH

Capriccioli beach Sardinia is characterised by fine white sand, shallow turquoise water that warms quickly in the summer sun and dramatic granite rock formations that create natural shelter and privacy. The seabed is sandy with patches of rock, making it exceptional for snorkelling. Visibility regularly exceeds 15 metres, and the marine life includes sea urchins, colourful fish and occasional octopus sightings among the rocks. The beach faces east, catching the morning sun and offering natural shade from the granite boulders in the late afternoon.

The landscape around Capriccioli is quintessential Costa Smeralda. Juniper trees, wild myrtle and Mediterranean macchia grow right down to the waterline, filling the air with a distinctive herbal fragrance that is unique to this coastline. HOW TO REACH CAPRICCIOLI BEACH

From Porto Cervo, take the SP59 south towards Cala di Volpe. Capriccioli is signposted on the left after approximately 8 kilometres. The drive takes 10 minutes in normal traffic. A small public car park serves the beach, but it fills early during peak summer, particularly on weekends. Arriving before 10:00 is recommended for public beach access. Guests with a Vesper Beach Club reservation benefit from dedicated parking based on availability, removing the stress of finding a spot entirely.

Capriccioli is also accessible by boat, making it a popular stop on yacht and boat charter itineraries from Porto Cervo. The sheltered coves provide excellent anchorage, and Vesper Beach Club offers food and drink service to guests arriving by sea.
