Capogiro Restaurant Baia Sardinia 2026: Michelin Star at 7Pines Resort

Capogiro is the fine dining restaurant of 7Pines Resort Sardinia — and the most significant new entry in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide Italia, receiving its first Michelin star under executive chef Pasquale D’Ambrosio. Positioned on a panoramic terrace overlooking the sea of Baja Sardinia, just minutes from Porto Cervo, Capogiro delivers a cuisine that is deeply rooted in Sardinian terroir and Mediterranean identity — one of the most exciting fine dining destinations to open on the Costa Smeralda in years.

CAPOGIRO: CHEF PASQUALE D’AMBROSIO & THE MICHELIN STAR

"CAPOGIRO

Chef Pasquale D’Ambrosio leads a kitchen that prioritises genuine local identity over international convention — the ingredients come from small Sardinian producers, the supply chain is deliberately short, and the approach to sustainability integrates environmental ethics with culinary responsibility. The result is a tasting menu that reads as a genuine expression of Sardinian land and sea — dishes like fusilloni with black lemon butter, mussel water and large mussels with spirulina caviar demonstrate a kitchen that is technically accomplished without being detached from its territory. The Michelin star awarded in November 2025 confirmed Capogiro as the only new starred entry in northern Sardinia for 2026 — alongside ConFusion, making Baia Sardinia and Porto Cervo the epicentre of fine dining on the island.

CAPOGIRO: THE 7PINES SETTING

"Capogiro:

7Pines Resort Sardinia — part of Destination by Hyatt — is deliberately positioned as an alternative to the high-energy social scene of Porto Cervo: boutique scale (75 rooms), maximum privacy, surrounded by sea on both sides with four secluded coves and a west-facing orientation that produces some of the most spectacular sunset light on the Costa Smeralda. The Capogiro terrace inherits this setting — a dining room suspended between sea and sky, where the meal is enhanced by one of the most striking natural environments of any restaurant in Sardinia. Open from 1 May 2026.

CAPOGIRO VS CONFUSION: SARDINIA’S TWO MICHELIN STARS

"CAPOGIRO

Capogiro and ConFusion Restaurant Porto Cervo are now the two Michelin-starred restaurants of the Costa Smeralda — each expressing a distinct culinary identity. ConFusion (chef Italo Bassi, Porto Cervo Promenade du Port) is the more internationally inflected fine dining experience, focused on the precision of classical technique. Capogiro (chef Pasquale D’Ambrosio, Baia Sardinia) is the more territorially rooted expression — shorter supply chain, stronger Sardinian identity, more intimate setting.
